Our Commitment

Side Quest Blogs publishes general gaming industry news, guides, reviews, and strategy content. Everything we publish is guided by one central principle: our editorial judgment is our own, and it isn’t for sale. This page explains how we research, write, review, and correct our content, so readers know exactly what to expect from us.

Independence

We do not run affiliate links, accept payment for coverage, or publish sponsored or paid reviews of any kind. No gaming operator, developer, or industry partner has influence over what we choose to cover, how we cover it, or the conclusions we reach. If our opinion of something is unfavorable, we say so. If it’s favorable, that’s because our research led us there, not because of a commercial relationship. Any reference links included in our content are supplied purely as general information, not as endorsements or paid placements. This also means we don’t currently monetize the site through advertising partnerships tied to specific operators or products. Our priority is that readers can trust what they’re reading is our honest assessment, not marketing dressed up as editorial content.

How We Research and Write

Our process generally follows a few consistent steps:

1. Research first: Before writing, our team gathers information from public, verifiable sources, official rules and terms, regulatory publications, industry reporting, and, where relevant, direct testing or observation of the subject matter.
2. Plain-language drafting: We write with the assumption that readers may be encountering a topic for the first time. Technical terms are explained, and we avoid unnecessary jargon or hype-driven language.
3. Internal review: Every article is reviewed by a second team member before publication, checking for factual accuracy, clarity, and tone consistency with our editorial voice.
4. Ongoing accuracy: The gaming industry changes quickly, rules get updated, products get discontinued, regulations shift. We periodically revisit older content and update or retire articles that no longer reflect current facts.

Corrections

We take factual accuracy seriously. If a reader or our own review process identifies an error, we correct it as soon as it’s verified. Substantive corrections (changes that affect the meaning or accuracy of an article) are noted transparently, typically with a brief editor’s note at the bottom of the piece describing what changed and when. Minor corrections, such as typos or formatting fixes, are made without a formal note. Our guides, reviews, and strategy articles are written for informational and entertainment purposes. They reflect our understanding of how games and systems work and our own analysis and opinions. They are not:

• An endorsement to gamble, or an assurance that gambling is a suitable activity for any particular reader

Reviews Specifically

Where we publish reviews of games, products, or platforms, our assessments are based on our own research, testing, and analysis at the time of writing. We do not accept compensation, free products, or other incentives in exchange for a favorable review, and we disclose clearly if we’ve received early or complimentary access to anything we review.

Age-Appropriate Content

Because our subject matter concerns gambling and gaming, our content is intended strictly for an adult audience, typically readers aged 18 or older, and 21 or older in jurisdictions where that is the legal minimum age for gambling-related activity.
